Ich habe unterdessen Mittelholzers Buch zum Bild gefunden, wenn auch nur in der englischen Ausgabe. Dort wird das Bild wie folgt beschrieben:
View to the northwest of the Trollheim Plateau at a height of twelve hundred metres. In front of John Bay is Hermann Island in the Foreland Sound. There the cloud cap has been dispersed, owing to the warm radiation of the shallow sound. In the background, Prince Charles Foreland.
